Owners Daniel and Nancy Talley have over seventeen years experience in design, installation, and maintenance in the fields of ornamental horticulture and ecological restoration. Botanica Chattanooga, LLC is involved in many local and national organizations that promote a sustainable environmental ethic. They are a corporate member of GreenSpaces and are a preferred provider for the Green Light certificate program. Botanica Chattanooga, LLC is a corporate member of the international and southeastern chapter of the Society for Ecological Restoration. They are also members of Wild Ones, Tennessee Native Plant Society, and the National Audubon Society.
Nancy Talley is actively involved in design, installation, project management, ecological restoration and fine gardening. Nancy spent three years working for the City of New York as a horticulturist at the distinguished public garden, Wave Hill. She spent the last five years at a portion of Carter Farms in Riverview, implementing gardens and restoring acres of urban woodland and fields to native ecosystems. She is an associate member of the Sustainability Professionals Group of Greater Chattanooga (SPGGC).
Daniel Talley holds a B.S. in Ornamental Horticulture and Landscape Design from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with an emphasis in Public Horticulture. He is actively involved in garden design, project and estate management, native nursery management, and ecological restoration. Daniel designs sustainable landscapes from traditional to native for a wide range of clients- commercial, governmental, and residential. He has a broad knowledge of native plants, the local communities that they thrive in, and their uses in the landscape.
